It's been a while since I created a blog post on here, but I wanted to share a little project I've been working on with Our Place. If you haven’t heard the name, you may still have seen their well known Always Pan float across your social media at some point. The idea behind the product is to create a minimal one pot experience in the kitchen, essentially condensing eight products down to one and eliminating the need for multiple pots & pans. A big winner in my book is that Our Place was founded and built by women and people from all different cultures and upbringings. These roots are reflected in the design of the Always Pan by creating a product which does not favor one traditional dish over another. Use the Always Pan to make dumplings on Monday, lentil soup on Wednesday, and a one-pot pasta at the end of a long week.
Now, when I'm in the kitchen you'll most likely find me baking, so I felt it'd be more appropriate to highlight one of my wife’s hearty soups she enjoys preparing. This recipe was already perfect before the Always Pan, but we immediately noticed how the pan cooks the soup more evenly and doesn’t need a whole lot of heat to do so. I’m always on dish duty, so I was shocked at how easy it was to clean compared to our older pans which required the good old “let it soak” method. Kennedy's one-pot Winter Lentil & Sweet Potato Soup has been outlined with the ingredients and instructions below.
